14 January 2013 Weekly Reflection-Praise

Lets begin with "The Lord's Prayer"

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us debts, as we also
have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.  For Thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and
the glory, forever.  Amen.
                          Matthew 6:9-13

14 January 2013 Weekly Reflection

"Hallowed be Thy name....:"

Praise

Let us bow before the Lord today.  Thank Him for His faithfulness to you.  His Word has been our guide.  His mercy and grace, our encouragement.  His love, our motivation.  His Spirit, our Helper.  His power to bring about changes within us, our hope.  (Chuck Swindoll)

Reflection:

Father, we come today in adoration.  Thank you for caring about us before we were ever born.  Thank you for flooding this earth with the presence of Jesus Christ and for not letting us forget Him, because You have recorded the truth in timeless Scripture.  We bow before You because we have the Bridge, who has brought us from earth to heaven.  We pray for those today who do not know the Lord Jesus and ask that You might create in them that hunger for Him, something only You can do.  Give no rest for relief until there is faith in Jesus Christ firmly established on his finished work.  And we shall adore You as we wait for You to work.  Amen.

Psalm 8:1 "O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth."

Praise is leaving one own self out of the way and becoming occupied in adoration of God.
